Purpose
This template is for use by landlords in Florida when you want to have your tenant(s) opt in to receiving notices electronically instead of by mail. This is a common practice for landlords who want to save time and money on mailing costs, and it can also be more convenient for tenants who prefer to receive notices via email.
Florida Statutes 83.505 (2025) allows for email delivery of notices if the tenant consents in writing (email opt-in). This template is designed to help landlords comply with that statute.
